SHI & JI

Privacy

Photos and artworks are processed and kept on your device. This full notice explains the boundaries around Apple’s iCloud, sharing, email, external links and optional diagnostics.

Updated October 25, 2026

Photos and artwork

SHI & JI needs no account. Photos selected with the system photo picker are analyzed, cropped, graded and arranged on your device. Tapping the paper tab keeps an album in the app’s local library. The app does not send photos, artwork, EXIF or photo-library identifiers to our servers or diagnostic services, and does not create a photo-cloud account.

Apple services and iCloud

If an original is only in iCloud Photos, Apple’s photo services may download it from iCloud first. Device backups, iCloud backups, images saved to Photos and system synchronization follow your Apple settings and Apple’s service rules. They are separate from uploads or cloud synchronization provided by the app. Manage these features in system settings.

Saving, sharing and deleting

You initiate saving and sharing through system features and recipients you choose. Copies sent to another app, cloud drive or social service follow that recipient’s rules. Deleting an album in the app does not delete original photos or recall copies you have saved or shared. Uninstalling and restoring backups are managed by the system.

Diagnostics are off by default

Crash diagnostics are disabled in the current default build. Only a build that explicitly enables them uses Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) to investigate crashes and critical errors. Events may include the app version, OS and device model, exception type, threads and symbolicated call stacks. Photos, artwork, EXIF, photo-library identifiers, screenshots, screen recordings and attachments are not sent. We do not set a user identity or enable session replay or performance tracking.

Diagnostic caches, storage region and retention

Sentry’s raw local crash cache is separate from events cleaned before transmission. We cannot guarantee that raw local reports never contain sensitive information. Diagnostics remain disabled in the current default build. We have verified that the current Sentry organization uses the Developer plan and stores data in the United States of America (US). If a future build explicitly enables diagnostics, error events sent to that organization will follow the plan in effect when they are ingested. The current Developer plan retains individual error events for 30 days. This period does not mean that all raw local caches, aggregated Issue records or backups are cleared within 30 days. Before enabling diagnostics, we must still check the actual build, the plan and region settings in effect at that time, and store disclosures. We will update this notice when relevant data flows or settings change.

Email and Xiaohongshu

The public mailbox, milky.eggy@gmail.com, is handled by Gmail and your email provider. The in-app draft includes app and iOS versions, which you can edit before sending; photos and logs are not attached automatically. Opening Xiaohongshu hands control to its app or website and its privacy rules. External services may recognize an existing signed-in account, network address or cookies. We receive only the feedback you choose to send and never send your albums to those services automatically.

This website

Static pages are served through Tencent Cloud COS. This site has no accounts, feedback forms, tracking cookies or analytics scripts, and does not read photos. Tencent Cloud and network providers may process IP addresses, request times and similar access data to deliver pages. Platform records follow the providers’ actual service rules. This site does not separately deliver access logs to another bucket.

Your controls and contact

Manage local albums in the app. Manage device backups, Photos and copies held by other services in their respective settings. Support email retention depends on the email providers’ rules and the needs of resolving an inquiry. To ask about, correct or delete feedback you supplied, contact milky.eggy@gmail.com. The provider is Beijing Bayesian Hunter Technology Co., Ltd. (北京贝叶斯捕手科技有限公司). We will update this notice when actual data flows change.
